FA-1 5202 and other unidentified units at Springfield, Missouri (date unknown) (Al Chione).

The train is entering the west end of Springfield’s Kansas Avenue Yard. It is on Long Track South 1 or 2. That is the West Speed Repair In Place (RIP) Track above the engines and below the yard light tower. In the distance in front of the lead locomotive is one of the Frisco’s Baldwin VO-1000 switch engines working the west end of the yard bowl tracks.

The photographer is standing very near the intersection of West Division Street and North Ethel Street and the view is looking northwest.

Special thanks to Mark Davidson.
