My, how the times have changed. An engine can not be left unattended like this any more unless it is protected by derails. I suppose it is safer, but I have seen some creative methods used to “comply” with the unattended locomotive rule.
If you blow the picture up, you can actually see the engineer is sitting in his seat through the front cab window, so that isn’t an unattended locomotive at all.
