Frisco Transportation Company truck at Kansas City, Missouri (date unknown).
The photograph was taken at the north end of Frisco’s 19th Street Yard. The building in the background above the Frisco Transportation Company’s (FTC) truck tractor nose is the Frisco’s Freight House. Visible is the southeast corner of the two story office section, with the one story freight house section, on a north/south axis, extending to the photo’s left edge.
In the photo’s upper left corner, north of the freight house, is the three level West 12th Street viaduct. This viaduct connects downtown Kansas City, Missouri with the West Bottoms area Central Industrial District. Downtown is high on the bluff to the east (right). The Central Industrial District is in bottom land area near the confluence of the Kansas and Missouri Rivers.
The view is looking northwest.
