Built by Baldwin during 1898 as a 4-6-0 Vauclain compound number 142, and renumbered after the merger to 542, The entire class, 539-548, was converted to 0-6-0’s at the West Shops during the period May 1922 and Dec 1923.the 3542 was retired during November 1948.
