Given the appearance of 184, I am skeptical that this was shot during 1933.
Do you believe that the photo is older than that?
It looks more like the mid to late 40’s. In 1933 this was just a 2-3 year old locomotive. The locomotive in the image is a bit more mature. For example, note the electric conduit on the side of the tender. That’s a later addition.
