1249 is somewhat unique in the orange and white paint. Notice the ladders and catwalks have been removed, and the original platform end handrails have been removed and replaced with ones typically seen on the 1400 and 1700 cabooses. The only other caboose I have seen with this same end platform treatment is 1201. Most of the time they just removed the catwalks and cut a few upper bars on the ladder and called it good.
