SLSF 2000 looks to be an E8A, based on the style of the grill above the portholes. However, some E7As were rebuilt/repaired by EMD with E8 carbodies; they were still E7s underneath.
SLSF #2000 was an EA7 with body sides rebuilt to match the appearance of the Frisco E8As.
Note that the rear truck has not been painted silver.
