GP7 570, GP7 611 and Caboose 1104 at Tulsa, OK (date unknown).
The location is Tulsa with the caboose hop headed east with the Arkansas River bridge just ahead after rounding a curve to the right. The highway bridge in the background is I-244 between the river and 17th St. When I enlarged the photo, I can see the Citgo headquarters building above the rear of the cab and the 4th National Bank building between the trees just behind the cupola.
Special thanks to Terry Jankowski and Karl Brand.
I can’t make out the unit number, but I can tell you that the location is Tulsa with the caboose hop headed east with the Arkansas River bridge just ahead after rounding a curve to the right. The highway bridge in the background is I244 between the river and 17th st. When I enlarged the photo, I can see the Citgo headquarters building above the rear of the cab and the 4th National bank building between the trees just behind the cupola. I was confused by the track where the maintenance of way equipment is seen, until I realized that they must have been working on the Texas belt east of 17th st.
Terry
I like 611 for the trailing unit.
