These images are from the main collection of slides held by Frisco.org.

The effort to grow this collection is constant. As of Spring 2014, over $5,000 has been spent to acquire these slides, solely for displaying them on the Frisco Archive for historical reference.

Location is St. Louis, Missouri.

The locomotives are in the Mechanical Department’s service tracks area at Lindenwood Yard. They are sitting southeast of the diesel shop. The bridge overhead is Fyler Avenue.

The photograph is from the Western Rail Images collection of railroad photographs by Jim and Doug Ozment. This view is from their group of photos titled “Frisco – St. Louis & San Francisco Railroad 1950s”. It is listed as their image number SLSF 49 and Frisco 49.

Photograph is dated August 29, 1954.
