Mid-1950s photos of 571 posted on this site show the steam generator stack atop the short hood and factory-standard exhaust stacks on the long hood. In addition to the repaint into the Frisco’s new paint scheme (was this one of the first units repainted?), the 571 has had its s/g removed (no stack) and spark arrestors placed on the exhaust stacks. Very sharp photo!
