Tonight’s Frisco Archive photo shows a two unit lashup of Racehorse/Redbirds. The photo is kinda dark but it shows the engines with the paint schemes that made the BEST looking E-8’s anywhere, any railroad. Much better looking than the Santa Fe Chiefs and all the rest. It’s just too bad that the company didn’t see fit to keep them well washed and scrubbed and the paint touched up regularly.mad
