    Regarding the location and date:

    (a) I would guess that it’s somewhere in and around St. Louis, since it’s a Joe Collias photo. There appears to be some sort of structure to the right of the tender. Perhaps someone can positively identify this.

    (b) With no “FFF” fireball on the tender, I’d say it’s c. 1948-1952.
