This is the last westbound run of #1 (The Oklahoman) on May 13, 1967 at Newburg, Missouri. E8A 2020 appears to be far from it’s glory as the proud leader of a Frisco passenger train.

Caboose 1422 (location unknown) in July 1980 (Lee Singletary). The unit on the right is GP38-2 421.
GP38-2 428 and GP35 715 at Tulsa, Oklahoma in May 1980. The third unit is unidentified (Trackside Slides).
The train is eastbound and has just crossed the Arkansas River. Cherokee Yard is on the West side of the river. The rails in the background are Sand Springs Railways Yard and a little further west SSR interchanges with SLSF. SSR still exists today. The refineries in the background are still operational.
The area still generally looks the same today as it did in 1980.
Special thanks to Paul Slavens.
