GP15-1 105 and two additional GP15-1s have a train northbound (geographic east) on the Arkinda-Ardmore Subdivision. The first car in the train is 50 foot rib and waffle side boxcar 11262. Additional sister cars in the 11000-11249 (6,150 cubic feet capacity) and 11250-11299 (6,175 cubic feet capacity) series are in this train. Further back are similar Missouri Pacific (MP) and Texas Oklahoma & Eastern (TO&E) cars. They were in special assigned pool service for Weyerhaeuser.
Note the distinctive blue boxcars with the horizontal yellow/orange/yellow stripes in the train. These are cars owned by the TO&E and De Queen and Eastern (DQ&E) Railroads. These end-to-end railroads in Oklahoma (TO&E) and Arkansas (DQ&E) were owned by Weyerhaeuser; a major forestry and forest products company.
The TO&E crossed (MP 710.0) and interchanged with the Frisco at Valliant, Oklahoma (MP 710.2). Weyerhaeuser operated a large paper and container board plant southeast of the Frisco’s main line near the interchange. On the Weyerhaeuser lines there were additional major forest products plants at Broken Bow, Oklahoma and Dierks, Arkansas.
