    Probably are being scrapped, see the freight car trucks under the geep.

    Indeed at La Grange as trade-ins. My dad, brother and I were abroad Cavalcade on Thanksgiving Day, 1967 as she and 2006 pulled 101 from KCUS. We rode from KC to Ft Scott.

    Scrapped, yes, in a sense, but just as likely being scavenged for parts, e.g., serviceable trucks.
