Looks a lot like the station in Cape Girardeau at the foot of Independence Street. I do not know if the depot in Cape had the eyebrow window. Was there a standard set of plans for stations? Thanks, Dwain
The station at Cape Girardeau was much larger, a different architecture completely with a flat roof. I think there are photos on this site. Ken McElreath
Hello Frisco Folks Here is another photograph of the Frisco depot in Idabel, OK Take care, Rich Ship it on the Frisco!
The Idabel depot is still standing. It currently houses the Idabel Chamber of Commerce. From the map showing below, the siding on the north side, right side, is only partially there, if left at all.
Idabel, OK depot. Nice image of the Idabel, OK depot taken July 4th, 1939. I have had this negative for years and recently came across it looking for something else.
Tom, My guess is a tarp hanging on the TO bar to give the office some more shade. The depot faces south. Jeff
Superb picture, Jeff. The single sheathed outside braced boxcar is a nice bonus, too. A lot of good, rich detail in this one. Thanks for sharing. Best Regards,
Wow. Check out the old glass topped gas pump in the far left background. I need to get two of those for my layout. Photographs are indeed worth a thousand words.
