Manitou & Southwestern Railway - Digital Command and Control (DCC)

	M&SW Railway - Command & Control

The M&SW uses NMRA standard Digital Command and Control (DCC) for layout control. Currently, the layout is wired in two blocks with a Digitrax Chief on one and a Bigboy booster on the other.

Power is provided by two 5 amp 16 volt power supply.

Decoders are Digitrax FH84 and FX84.

Command Station is either DCS-100 or a Computer.

Throttles are DT-100 & DT200.

Computer Interface is with Winlok or the MS100.

Occupancy Detection is planned through DS54s and Digitrax detectors.

Throttle connections are located on each side of the layout area of the layout using standard 6-wire connectors.

Wiring was installed in a continuous loop of number 16 AWG stranded copper wire connected to the track every five feet with feeder wires and mechanical connectors as shown in the photo.
