Monett, Missouri Yard with Ice House

A fascinating look at the Monett, Missouri Yard. The year on this photograph is hard to read but the Frisco Archive believes that it says 1921.

Very good quality photo. You can tell, it’s from a glass plate negative. Intense detail you can’t get any other way. Thanks for posting!

When was the ice house torn down? I have an aerial photograph of the yard at Monet which shows the roundhouse (pre 1950s) but doesn’t show the ice house. It was taken after the canal for Kelly Creek was built, which is not visible in the photo above, so I think my photo post-dates this one. When was the ice house torn down? Thanks
