Suggested reading in this issue is the article, “Thirty-Four Years With the Frisco” which begins on Page 10. Mr. Wilson (pictured) was born in 1866 and entered service with the Frisco in 1890.

    Also recommended reading in this one: pages 7-8 have a fabulous, step-by-step detailed description of locomotive repairs and associated costs for 3 locomotives (two 2-8-0s and one 4-8-2) by the Superintendent of Motive Power.

    It’s amazing that they could do such much work over 11-13 eight-hour days.
