    Author Laura Ingalls Wilder and her family likely used this depot many times. She and her husband Almonzo purchased a farm just east of Mansfield in 1894 and lived there the rest of their lives. She passed away in 1957, age 90.

    If you look on the left side you will see 2 boxcars on the Frisco-Ozark Southern interchange track, next to it looks like a OS passenger car. The OS might be waiting on this Frisco passenger train for anyone heading to Ava.
